I am very excited and honored to have been selected as the new Director of Music Ministries and Choir Director at Shenkel United Church of Christ. Growing up, my love of music and worship encouraged me to be an active member of the musical ensembles at my home church in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. I am thrilled to be sharing this love with the community at Shenkel UCC and cannot wait to get to know its members better!

I graduated from West Chester University in 2012 (Summa Cum Laude) with a dual bachelor degree in Vocal Performance and Music Education. I currently teach private voice and piano lessons in the Greater Philadelphia area and perform with illumine, a classical music trio comprised of my husband, David, (on violin) and my mother-in-law, Jodie (on piano). In addition, I am versed in opera, having performed such roles as Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel and Prince Charmant in Cendrillon. My other interests include: ballet, European history, cooking, gardening, and high-intensity weight training.

I am looking forward to expanding the music program at Shenkel UCC and hope to start up the chime and children’s choirs once again. If anyone has any interest in joining one of the musical ensembles, please feel free to talk to me. I would love to hear from you!
